PE and Sport Premium Information
Introduction
Following the success of the London 2012 Olympics the government has agreed to fund primary schools for the next ten years to provide a lasting legacy from the games and develop children's enjoyment of sport and physical activity from an early age.
The funding is a lump sum £16,000 plus £10 per pupil. For more information on how this is calculated please visit https://www.gov.uk/guidance/pe-and-sport-premium-for-primary-schools
This funding is ring fenced and school's must be transparent in how they spend this funding.

Sport is an important part of our school curriculum and excellence and enjoyment in sport participation, alongside strong cultural opportunities, supports children's academic progress, social skills and well being.
We are very excited about the opportunities this funding presents to us and are working closely with a number of local partners to put in place programmes of learning, coaching sessions for our staff, a local network of competitions for a variety of competitive sports and loan of equipment for unusual sports. In addition we plan to review the club and non-curricular provision currently available to children.
